1. 'PRable’ product

What you need

  • A product that stands out (bright/bold)
  • Not just another black bag
  • A wide range of products

Why is it important?

Choosing the right product to pitch to press maximises your chances of getting coverage for your brand. Recognition in the press can lead to an increase in brand reputation, social followers and sales. Editors look for quality product with bold shapes, bright colours, patterns and seasonal items; these stand out and capture the reader’s attention.

2. Social Media

What you need

  • Great visuals
  • Consistency
  • Be on channels relevant to your target audience
  • Referral back to your website

Why is it important?

Social media is the perfect place to turn your audience from passive readers into engaged paying customers. It's a marketing tool in itself, helping you to reach out to new customers, connect and engage with existing customers and promote your product offering to a large audience. A lot of consumers find brands through social media.

3. website

What you need

  • A transactional website
  • Easy checkout process
  • Consistent cut-out imagery
  • Links to social media channels
  • Contact details

Why is it important?

You need a fully transactional website with confirmed pricing before you even think about contacting the press. Without this, there is very little chance that coverage will convert into sales; it is your job to make it as easy as possible for readers to purchase your product after seeing your brand featured.

4. Pricing confirmed

What you need

  • Confirmed price points
  • Prices that reflect your target market

Why is it important?

Prices that are constantly changing annoy customers and creates confusion about the market your product sits in. In addition, pricing inconsistencies reflect badly on editors, meaning you are unlikely to receive repeat coverage.

5. Beautiful Branding

What you need

  • A memorable, unique and simplistic logo
  • Beautiful lifestyle shots
  • Consistent colours, fonts and images
  • A brand theme

Why is it important?

Branding is what talks! It is the way your customer, the media and press perceive you. Your brand helps you to improve overall recognition, build customer loyalty,  differentiate yourself from competitors and it supports your marketing and PR efforts.
