PRD News: Autumn Fair and Top Drawer
How is it September already? We’ve had a busy couple of weeks here at PR Dispatch HQ. We kickstarted the new season at Autumn Fair in Birmingham last week, followed by Top Drawer back in London. Here’s a snippet of what we got up to.
Autumn Fair
We spotted some great brands and products..
Jex Shoes’ creative and playful colour-in shoes instantly caught our eyes.
These quirky, animal-themed vases from Lisa Angel are firmly on our wish list.
Sweet tooth? We’re big fans of The Bottled Baking Co’s delicious range of cake mixes - all beautifully contained in a reusable glass bottle
We hosted two workshops..
including an informative session covering the art of pitching, how to get your products featured in the press, what assets you need and PR’ing your PR.
Top Drawer
A total of 15 of our members were part of Top Drawer this year and it was great to catch up with our amazing community including..
Emily from Doodlemoo..
..Rachida from Rama Publishing.
..our member Sarah, founder of graphic gifts and playful prints brand Alphablots bagged Top Drawer’s 'Most exciting use of colour' award. A huge achievement!
Lucky Lobster Art’s stand was abundant with stunning lino cut prints, meticulously handmade by our member Jo.
Not 1, not 2..but 3 of our PR Dispatch members as winners and runners up of this year’s Paper Awards. We’re so proud we could burst. Well done to Alphablots, Text From a Friend and Rama Publishing.
We had a natter with Elizabeth Stiles and Joanne Griffin from Small & Mighty before Catherine Erdly from Future Retail UK’s talk on what retail will look like in 2020.
And we chatted the A to Z of Christmas Gift Guides with an engaged and attentive audience.
And that’s the end to our trade shows for 2019, we’re looking forward to another year ahead of more Top Drawers, Spring / Autumn Fair’s + many more. See you there?
