Meet the member: Vicky and Charly from Plum & Ashby

In the middle of a busy and exciting week at Top Drawer London, we took some time to visit the beautiful Plum & Ashby stand and caught up with Vicky White (Founder) and Charly Jansson (Content Creator) on Plum & Ashby's press achievements and future aspirations.

How long have you been in business?

Since April 2014, so about 3 and a half years.

Describe your product in 3 words.

British, luxurious, handmade.

One thing you wished you’d known before starting your own PR.

It is very important to be targeted when getting in touch with each Editor. This helps to build lasting PR relationships, which go beyond one piece of coverage.

What did being featured on do for your brand?

We had lots of traffic to the Plum & Ashby website and a handful of sales too! The coverage also brought more interest from other press contacts and bloggers, which was really encouraging to see.

Why do you think PR is important?

PR brings great exposure and awareness for the brand. We love the idea of like minded people discovering us and following our brand journey.

What is your next PR goal?

We want to be regularly featured in our key titles.  We've had such a great week for call ins! Including Country Living, Cosmo, Good Homes, Sainsbury's Magazine, Ideal Homes and The Simple Things! These have mainly been requests for our Advent and Christmassy candles, very exciting!

And finally, in the next year you want to…

Continue to expand our ranges! We want to become the destination for scented candles and luxury bath and body products.
