PR Dispatch meets - Jasmin with no e!
Say hi to our newest team member, Jasmin! Interning with us in the lead up to Christmas we quickly realised that we needed to get her back. Get to know Jasmin’s (hilarious) celebrity crush and her very relatable guilty pleasure.
WHERE IS HOME?
I’m pretty far south of the river! I live in Sutton so on the edge between London and Surrey but it gives me an easy commute to the city as well as some big open spaces for when the smog gets too much.
STAR SIGN
I’m only adding to the number of Leos in the office I’m afraid! So hardworking, loyal and chatty, but only a little.
YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE?
You honestly can’t beat a good Netflix binge! Curled up in bed, surrounded by snacks, some nice candles and a full tv series; crime dramas or Queer Eye are easy go-tos for me. I couldn’t think of anything better on a rainy day.
YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE TO VISIT?
Brighton. I remember going down for the weekend with my family when I was a kid and running along the beach and playing in the arcade on the pier, it was great! Grown up me has also found some great shops and little pubs in the North Lanes so now I have places to spend my arcade winnings.
FAVOURITE SNACK
I love some spicy cashew nuts. I’m just not very good at stopping once I’ve started so maybe they should count as my guilty pleasure too
FAVOURITE SEASON AND WHY?
I’m a summer baby so it has to be summer. The heat, the sunshine, the evenings outside in the pub beer garden and having a tan. It’s just the best, yes the tube is a nightmare in the heat but who would really rather be cold and constantly having to ‘wrap up warm’?
SOMETHING YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE IN THE NEXT YEAR?
I’m making it my mission to read more this year. I used to read all the time and I still always pick up a good book if I like the sound of it, but somehow I never get around to actually reading them, they are just stacked in a pile in the corner of my bedroom. So by the end of the year I want to have read all of them, maybe a little ambitious as there are quite a few but that’s the aim.
ONE ITEM YOU CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT?
Caffeine in pretty much any form. My morning coffee is an essential; I used to say that if I was conscious it had to mean that I was caffeinated!
BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’VE EVER BEEN GIVEN?
It was probably from my granddad whilst I was at uni. Stop stressing! You can’t control everything so learn to let go when you have to and understand that sometimes you just have to go with the flow and see what happens. Probably not that applicable to coursework but it has served me well in life since!
HOW WOULD YOUR FRIENDS DESCRIBE YOU IN THREE WORDS?
The weird one.
YOU CAN ONLY EAT ONE THING FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT IS IT?
Pasta! There are so many options and different combinations, surely it is impossible to become bored or eat the same meal twice? Plus any food that goes well with obscene amounts of cheese is perfect to me.
FAVOURITE ITEM YOU’VE BOUGHT IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS?
This is a tricky one as it is probably a tie between two items for me right now. I bought a piece of pottery from a Vietnamese brand on one of my regular TK Maxx hunts and I love it. It is a light grey/beige colour with a 3D nose and ears and a little face drawn on, a little strange but I find it adorable! And second would be a pair of big rainbow sequin earrings that I picked up in the Christmas sales; I love wearing an all black outfit and then some really big and colourful earrings to add a bit of sparkle.
FUN FACT ABOUT YOURSELF?
I am obsessed with David Attenborough! I once waited for 6 hours at a book signing to meet him and when he asked me how I was, I forgot how to speak and just made a little yelping noise and walked away! He is also the only person that I have ever written a fan letter to and he sent me a personalised signed picture back which is currently hanging on my bedroom wall.
CELEBRITY CRUSH?
Well obviously David is on the list but Jason Momoa is my man at the moment, I mean have you seen Aquaman?!
